Classic announcement – Locking

Just a quick announcement before this weekends’ Classic: We have decided to ease the rules on locking. Teams are still permitted to lock-through to adjoining lakes, but we will NOT require teams to show the Executive the actual lock pass in advance for this event. Teams simply need to inform Trevor at boat-check that they intend to lock-through.
We believe this will make it a bit easier on teams looking to lock but unable to get the pass in advance.

2012 Team Of The Year!

A big congratulations go out to Russell and Tyler France, Team #16, for having the highest total of 4 events! Their total Team Of The Year weight was a whopping 66.67 lbs (4 events, average = 16.67lbs/event) and an average fish size of 3.33lbs!

GREAT JOB!

2012 Classic – Newboro Lake

The BAA Executive have selected Newboro Lake as the location for the 2012 BAA Classic. This event will be held on September 8 & 9, 2012. 7am – 4pm on day 1, 7am – 3pm on day 2.

The Poplars Resort has agreed to provide BAA Members with a great package rate for any nights during the week leading up to (and including) the Classic. The rate will be $65/night (+ tip for the staff), per person and includes 3 meals per day! Please call Rick @ 1-888-686-1891 and mention you are a BAA member. The facilities are great, the food is delicious, you’ll have a slip for docking the boat (with power), and you will save valuable time and fuel by not having to drive up two consecutive days. Rick would like confirmation ASAP. First-come, first-served.

Tight lines!

BAA Sponsoring the Ottawa Fishing Festival!

Bass Anglers Association – Ottawa’s Top Bass Fishing Club, is very pleased to announce that we are sponsoring the 2012 Ottawa Fishing Festival, with a $100 Tagged Perch prize!

There will be sponsor booths, live presentations, fun and games, and a big stretch of shoreline where you and your kids (or nieces or nephews, etc.!) can come fish for perch or bass with the chance to catch a tagged fish!

We would like to thank each and every member of BAA for donating some of their entry fees for the 2012 season towards this great cause.
